Art Deco Green and Gold CufflinksCarrington Green and Gold! |
Elegant Art Deco cufflinks with gold and green enamel stripes. These 14kt gold cufflinks epitomize the bold geometry and colors of the Art Deco era. Crafted by Carrington and retailed by Tiffany & Co., circa 1935.
Carrington & Company was one of the most diverse makers of fine cufflinks during the years from 1900 to the 1950. Carrington was based in Newark, New Jersey and supplied beautiful platinum and gold cufflinks to the finest jewelers of the day.
The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts. The links are connected with sturdy cross bars and brackets and the backs polished to a mirror-like finish - please excuse the reflections from my camera. The backs of the cufflinks are marked with the hallmark of Carrington & Company, (a "C" surrounding "14") and the initials ("WH") of the the original owner. They are dated "4-10-35" Name: Carrington Green and Gold!
