Elegant Art Deco Cufflinks
| Festive garlands surround small, radiant
pinwheels or stars. Twining foliate scrolls fill the
hexagonal borders like streamers falling at a party. The
perfect elegant cufflinks for any occasion worthy of
celebration. Created by Jacob Hookaylo in 14kt gold,
The craftsmanship of the Hookaylo workshop can be seen on the reverse of these cufflinks. Note the distinctive wing-form bridges, a Hookaylo signature, and the sturdy brackets that secure these cufflinks on the cuff. The finely polished backs have a mirror-like finish delineated by clear, crisp edges. (Please excuse the shadowy reflections of the camera.)
Jacob Hookaylo was a master jeweler who emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s and opened a workshop in northern New Jersey. During the 1920s and 1930s his workshop created beautifully engraved cufflinks that are miniature works of art in the Art Deco style.
